Sucks to get old.

But just like any profession.. ie roofing, machinery, truck driver, Artisan, Golfer, even a Delivery guy.. something catches up to you eventually.

As a carpenter/General Contractor.. I've suffered my worst long term injuries from doing stuff for the wife around the house!. :omg:

Sucks to get old!..

One thing is certain......the colleges aren't going to go out of their way to warn their money makers of the long-term physical and mental disabilities they'll face.

Exactly.

And, with a good offensive line most of his career IIRC.

My dad, who will be 75 this year, who is a veteran, and a colon cancer survivor...and also a LatG member, tells me and my brother regularly "getting old isn't for sissies!"

I resemble your quote, Mike. Age has told me that I can never really sleep more than seven hours. Should I exceed this amount, something brilliant might happen, including dislocated ribs or shoulders. I thought grinding my teeth in my sleep as a kid was annoying . . .

On the topic of pro-athletes, most don't realize that being a pro athlete is one of the most physically unhealthy pursuits possible. If you can still walk without a cane by age 35, you didn't try hard enough.

R.I.P. Rodney Dangerfield, by the way.

Part of getting a Scholarship is an Education. Of any Student-Athlete can Read, they will know of the Dangers. Time to be responsible of one's own actions.

I hear Athlete's in their Prime say that they don't care. So what does that say?

Players Joe's age did not have the information that today's players have. When he played, if he got knocked out, they put some smelling salts under his nose and he went back on the field. I am surprized he is having as many problems, but that may be old age too. I've had None knee operations on one knee and can still function.

Now players like Jim McMahon that played and combined recreational Drugs, most of the blame falls on them. I remember McMahon without his Helmet head-butting another player whose helmet was on. How Dumb is that?
