My latest project.. '92 454SS 408LS w/twin 67's

You guys know I love my 454SS trucks. I bought this one last year from the original owner's wife after he passed. It had 7k original miles. I immediately lowered it, wheels & tires but it was the only one of my 3 that was stock engine wise. My red '93 has a 502 and my white '93 has a whipple. I wanted to build something totally different for the blk '92. The build is a built 408 LS with twin Precision dual ball bearing 67s. I just got it back this weekend. It's on 5psi for now for break in. It will eventually be tuned for 15 psi on 93 and will go up much more than that on race gas or E85. I just wanted something fun to drive, not race. This thing is blast. I plan on eventually doing some sort of 4 link and a small mini tub to put a larger tire on. I changed the rear gear to 3:45 and the 4L80E has been built.

Nice!! I'm partial to these trucks too. What kind of power do you expect on the 93 octane tune?

Should make 800-850 RWH on 93 oct. 1200 on race gas..

I bet GM had to work hard back in the day, to make a 454 make only 230 HP.

How much sand can you pile in the bed looking for traction?

Missed you when we came down for Adrienne's graduation! She's now Executive Event Chef where she works....

We just didn't have time with Aunts and Uncles and Cousins and out of town grade school friends -- in other words - herding cats! In other words - there just was no more time in that weekend. OMG!

Truck must be a friggin' beast! And wow! What fantastic looking work they did! First rate craftsmanship there!
