Steering Shaft

Wanted opinions. Is there anything wrong with how I set up my steering linkage? Should the support bearing be closer to the double joint or can it stay in the center of the shaft?

It will probably work the way it is, but IMO it would be better if the support was closer to the steering box.

Like above, I would say it would probably work as is.. ideally the rod end would be right up against the double joint, just to reduce any deflection in the steering shaft between the rod end and the double joint. but with all those u-joints, the system is constrained enough that I doubt any bending would have an affect on steering angle or joint lifetime as it is low rpm oscillating, and not constant high rpm rotation.
