Fuel Lines
Just a quick question, what size fuel lines are most of u guys running, stock or bigger, or depending on HP. I Plan on running between 400-700hp.
thanks |
I have a 1/2" line for a SBC 355 with 475hp.

In running at 3/8 on my 67 nova I bent out of tubing....

The difference in fuel line requirements from 400 to 700Hp is a lot. For 700HPI would go 5/8, or -10. 400HP will run on 3/8 or -6

thanks for the info, im still trying to make up my mind wether imma go with an n/a 350sb (450hp) or go with a supercharged 350 (650hp+). I just cant make up my mind...

Fuel Lines
My 1979 Z-28 Pro-touring car has a Supercharged small Chevy. I run 1/2 inch fuel line part hard line, part braided A/N lines. With a High volume Mechanical pump. You can either / or run an electric ,your choice. I also run a Holley regulator, and a fuel log Filters.I run around 15+ pounds of boost.500+ HP. But I tend over build things That way you are less likely to brake or hurt stuff.. Engines like this tend to be hungry. And they need on the rich side. 3/8 line is n`t enough ,I learned the hard way. There was n`t enough volume. Also included a picture of mine. But you can figure what will best works for your application. Good luck to you,

HOLLY old posts!! :) almost 7 years later, I hope he has his fuel line all set! :D :underchair: just messin with you!!!

Actually I don't. Seven years later my project has been put on hold for family and my engine has changed from a carbed 350sbc to a maggie powered ls3. Been accumulating parts while the body is in body shop jail. Fuel lines still haven't been chosen lol.

What pump and reg are you running? Return style or dead head? Also what size pick up/outlet at tank?
