Pro Touring 1978 Nova

This is my Great Grandmother's Nova I got a few years ago, and it now has a 540ci and a TH400/Gear Vendos.

And I have been wanting to do a pro touring build with this body style because not very many have done the's Novas.

No I haven`t seen that many Novas of your years Pro-toured.And I have seen only one with a big block in it.But there are suspension pieces for those cars. Even though the suspension set up is a little strange. The front end is second Gen Camaro/Firebird.And the rear end is 1968 -74 Nova.and usually has a 8,5 10 bolt rear end .Like a 1973-4 Nova.So all those suspension pieces should fit.http://s1064.photobucket.com.

I'll bet you surprised quite a few people with it.

That's why I'm going to be waiting for UMI to come out with their 2nd gen Camaro control arms.

We already have them, why wait? Control arms, sway bars, coilover conversions...

Click Here for 4th gen Nova parts.

This is a great platform for a pro touring car, you're already starting out with better front suspension geometry than a 1st gen Camaro or 3rd gen Nova. Go for it!

Little rich for my blood, if I go for a set of control arms right now it would be CPP or BMR.

I have rid the Z28 of its seats and center consule, and I have to T56 almost out to get it ready for a test fit in the Nova.

The new plan for the Nova is to replace the broken torque converter and take the 540ci out and get the floors fixed and rear quarter, and while the 540ci is out the 4.25 crank and 6.385 rods are coming out and some 6.6in rods are going to be put in with a 3.76 crank to make a 475ci high winding big block and use the former crank and rods are going build a 496ci for my dad's 1972 Malibu.
