TSW Valencia 18x9.5 1969 Camaro wheel fitment question.

Hello everyone and thank you for looking.

I have a 1969 Camaro and I am looking to replace my Riddler wheels that are currently on the car. I was looking at a set of TSW Valencia's.

I would want to run 18x9.5 and all 4 corners. I don't like the look of the 18x8 up front. The wheel has no lip.

The 18x9.5 have a 20mm Offset. I was curious if that would rub on the front of my car on full lock. The car is lowered 2 inches and has a 1 in block out back. Stock sub, with SPC upper control arms. Thanks guys

Ray

I have a 2nd gen TA with these wheels and am running a 275/40 tire on them. I run a 7/16 spacer in front and a 1" in back. No rubbing in the back and only a full lock do I see signs of rubbing in the front. Stock geometry and control arms.

I had a real hard time fitting a 18X8 with 245 on my stock subframe (74 Apollo) same surname. I have speedtech fax tall spindles, spc lowers, spc uppers and hotchkis springs. Wheels have I think 5" bs to pull them in enough to clear the fender wheel lip, but that created all kinds of issues on the back side. Had to flip the front shafts of the uppers backward to clear wheels on turn, and go with screw in b-joints to fit inside the wheel. Stock steering arms also contacted the wheel at the tie rod. And had to find the impossible to get 69 z28 short arms to just fit! May have to notch frame rails as it appears tires will rub at full lock front and back, also going to be real tight to fit a sway bar and not touch tire? Have not driven it yet, still just a roller.

Greg,

Car looks Great! I was looking at Dark Knights build on PT and seen your car in once of his pictures. I dont think I am able to run 9.5's up front unfortunately. Unless I remove my wheel wells. I might end up doing that. Thanks for the details tho. Car looks great.

The learning continues.... Maybe you could get a 9" wide wheel and still run the 275 wide tire. I now think that my wheels are probably too wide for a 275 tire and if I ever go to another wheel I will go smaller, that way the side wall is less prone to rolling over.

Good luck!
