Equal front and rear Tire Width??

Thanks in advance for any help here.

Looking for guidance on setting up my car with equal front and rear tire width (outside to outside)??

70 Camaro with DSE front sub and DSE 4 link. 335's on 18x12 Forgelines in the rear and 315's on 18x11 in the front. I've bolted up the brakes and wheel/tires in the front and confirmed that all clearances are appropriate. Good wheel to caliper and wheel to upper A-arm.

I don't have rear end in the car yet, on order but they are waiting for me to tell the them the wheel to wheel measurement. This is the purpose of this discussion.

With the front end set per the above, this would require me to move the rear tires out (and fenders) about 1 1/2" 1 5/8" in order for the tire width to be equal.

I'm OK with flaring the fenders, no issue there and of course I can have rear end set up at any width.

Again, really just looking for advice on set up of the tire width....should the front and rear be equal?

Just clarifying my question: Should the measurement from outside of the right front tire to the outside of the left front tire be equal to the same measurement in the rear? Thanks!

just waiting to see what others think... the factory track width is different front to back, and I use spacers to change my track widths to help with over and under steer

I find this funny, because I'm quite sure I've only seen you "Oversteer"...

Ended up with 74 5/8" front track width (tire width)....outside to outside. Planning on bringing the rear-end out to equal this width but will use a 1/2" spacer to give some adjustment. No realist way, at this point, to set the front end up to have some adjustment using spacers. But....if I had to do it over again, I would have had the pad on the wheels cut down 1/2" and they still would have cleared the rotors by 1/4".
