AMD Second Gen Fenders

Anyone have any experience with the fitment on the AMD front fenders for a 70 Camaro?? My originals are a mess and I'll have to replace them....nice used GM are getting tough to find.

Update...I guess AMD does not make a second gen fender...they sell an "X-Part" (another manufacturer). Any input on the "best" aftermarket second gen fender??

Do you know who produces their "X-parts"?

AMD is going to be your best bet. They will all need work to fit perfectly. Problem is AMD always seems to have their parts back ordered. the "x" parts (in the part number) that AMD sells is not AMD tooling and i believe they are gold star, dynacorn and i believe another one i can't remember. If you can find nos fenders that would be good, they are expensive but the labor to get the AMD or any other aft. fenders to fit properly.......will probably come out the same $ wise.

Thanks for the input..... I have pretty much factored in that any aftermarket fenders will need some work to get them to fit well. I may just rework my stock fenders that have some rust/dents......

Not exactly what you are looking for but some input that might help......I just received my rear fender skins from Classic Industries. Steve Lenning used these for his rear flares and after talking with him about how they fit, I ordered a set and they were actually fairly accurate on initial mock up. I know the front is whole different animal but I was pleased with the rears from Classic, maybe check with them on the fronts. They were not an AMD part. On the other hand, I did order the lower front fender section from Classic to do my rust repair...they were horrible, I would have been better off making my own. After typing this, I realize that I've been no help at all!

Thanks John..... I have been looking for some "good" used fenders. I may and try and patch the ones I have if I can't come up with a good alternative.....and you are right, the lower patches are pretty bad.
