HOK samples
 

Does anyone know where I can buy HOK samples? Or can it be made in spray can form? thank you

Be prepared to spend good money if you choose to use HOK due to lousy coverage of HOK basecoats. It takes many coats of base. Valspar bought them years ago and it went downhill from there.

Try to pick a factory color if you can. That way you can get decent basecoat from PPG and others.

Don thank you very much that sucks to hear. Guy fieri had a color red that he painted his camaro conv. That looked very nice but I really wanted to see it in person. Looks like I will stick with a factory color hahaha

This is very true. I painted my '67 with HOK red and it took a TON of material to cover- almost 8 coats to get the luster we were shooting for. It also required us to use a white base to get the brilliance out of it I wanted. At the end of the day it looked amazing, but I was a little uncomfortable with how much material went on the car plus if it were ever to get damaged, I'd be screwed.

My last car I used Honda R81 known as Milano Red. It took three coats and looks 99% as good as the HOK stuff IMO. If it's ever damaged- "easy" repair.
