Quick Brake line question
I spoke with Inline tube regarding brake lines for my car and since it has been modified and is not using a stock master cylinder they recommended I run my own lines. I want to use 3/16 stainless with a single flair and they told me that was no problem if I used AN fittings.
So I called Wilwood to find out what to use to make the conversion to their calipers, which use 1/8 - 27 NPT. Could someone advise me on the best way to do this. Do I put an adapter on the caliper or do I buy a hose that is NPT on one end and AN on the other? I'm guessing 3AN on the AN side. |
I did find this on Jegs...
Wilwood 220-6956 Part Number: 950-220-6956 Wilwood Caliper Inlet Fitting Straight Caliper Inlet Fitting•Straight •-3 Male to 1/8''-27 NPT Male Now all I have to do if find the rear T and the outer brake line female ends in -3 AN as well as the master cylinder, prop valve ends... |
Do you have Wilwood brakes? If so they may have the 1/8 npt to 3AN fittings already in them if not Jegs or Summit or several places can help you out.

Wilwood master cylinder and prop valve. Need to plumb in a line lock in to the mix. |
I would just have your flex lines in the front made with the wilwood fitting on one end and a -3AN fitting on the other. For the rear, an adapter fitting in the caliper for 1/8 to -3 would probably be easiest.
