So is this the best offering from Porsche? Or is it the best street mannered and hardest launching? Don't get me wrong, I love the brand, I just don't know much about the newer rides. Singer, FTW! |
Basher --- 450 to 500K for a Singer --- "only" 200ish for a new 911 Turbo S.
The 911 Turbo S is all wheel drive and has a feature (did I show you when you were here?) called "launch control". With a couple buttons - you set the brake with your foot - mat the throttle and lift off the brake and away you go! Hard! It's so much fun! The 911 Turbo S is their "top of the line" 911 for street use...... the 918 Spyder is the top of the line Porsche... at around a million and a half bucks USED. It's "almost" as quick. LOL They make a 911 GT3 RS that is a very competent track car as well as street use and it's around $175K base price --- kinda their Pro Touring version you might say? But it's not as quick in acceleration at 3.1 secs 0-60..... it's REAR WHEEL DRIVE vs all wheel drive. Frankly -- I've never been able to keep track of all the models Porsche makes just in the 911 version! Porsche shows 16 different models for the 911 line up. |
