Fitment of Single Turbo

I have a 416ci LS3 that I am hoping to throw a turbo on in coming months. I am leaning towards the BW S485, but it is a T6 flange and I am just curious how many people have experience with the single turbos on these first gens (with power accessories). My installer seems to think T4 would be the safe bet, but performance wise T6 is the way to go. Just a little worried about running out of room.

Anyone with experience with single turbos on these cars?

Here are the dimensions for the turbo...

Appreciate any info, help, etc.

look at yellowbullet.com, lots of builds there with cars using big turbos. I wouldn't think a T6 sized unit would be much of a problem, just going to have it stuffed in a corner or work around it. Not manyon this site are throwing huge singles on their cars.

What are the goals for the car? How much power do you want to make? What are you going to use it for (drag racing, autox, road racing, street cruiser, etc)?

I ended up going ahead with the T6. I think we should be fine after talking to a few people who have dealt with first gen turbos.

This will be 99%+ street car, but maybe take to the track once every year or two for fun.

I think you should be happy with the performance. Your combo sounds really similar to my old one. 407" AMC with good heads, made 499 na before I put a Bullseye S483 with the 96mm 1.32 T6 exhaust. Came up on boost pretty nice and made strong power. Wouldn't be ideal for a corner carving application but it was a fun street piece.
