Torque arm kit problem or I'm just stupid
I ordered the torque arm kit from speedtech after about a month of waiting I finally got the thing. So I payed a local performance shop to weld the brackets on to the axle (10 bolt) left him with the measurements provided with the kit. Got the axle home and said f it and threw the trailing arms on and slid the axle under the car. I don't have the pan hard bar/crossmember welded in yet do to my welder isn't with me right now. But anyways my axle is to the passenger side about an inch or to. And needs to come over. Question is will the pan hard bar take care of the issue or should I trippl check his measurements ?

The Panhard bar will move the axle over left to right .
First I would check if the lower trailing arm brackets are welded on your axle according to the speedtech instructions. Then make sure the axles is centered left to right front to back under the car in the wheel wells. Then adjust (lengthen or shorten) the lower trailing accordingly. Every car is different and without pics it's hard to see what you have it set up to. |
K so I checked the brackets and the driver side is of by 2 inches. Thank God there only tacked in. I centered the axle in the car real quick. I'll get it centered better better tomorrow morning. I put the torque arm on for a reference point, but by the looks of it the bracket needs to come over to the drivers a hole brackets with and in on the passenger side a hole brackets with. I'll try to get some pics up

Just curious which "performance" shop welded the brackets on? If they can't measure simple axle brackets it might help others to avoid them.

Uh looking at the pics thise brackets are just tacked. Please tell me you will go back and weld them to the axle?

He says in the post above that they where just tacked in place.

Ya there just tacked in place, And I'm glad they were because there in the wrong spots. The guy that put them on can't read a tape measure
