Speedtech Updates Transmission Crossmembers

In the interest of always moving forward and producing the best products we can we've updated all of our full and subframe transmission crossmembers to be even stronger and more adjustable, handling near any drivetrain combination.

The tracks on the frame rails allow fore and aft movement to adjust to different transmission lengths. The cross arms are now made of thicker laser cut and CNC formed steel. Depending on how you orient it between the arms, the center "box mount" has two different top offsets for the trans mount. On the sides of the box there are multiple holes for different height and front/aft positioning. Check out these new pics!

Does this use the same mounting rail which is welded to the subframe as the previous style crossmember? It's hard to tell in the picture, but it looks slightly different...

The real question is... Can this crossmember drop-in replace the previous round-tube style?

I'm curious to. My cross member is tubular with a slotted mounting bracket welded to the frame.

The picture you posted of the entire subframe looks like a flat crossmember with flat slotted mounts welded to the frame.

The lower picture you posted looks like square tubing welded to the frame and a flat crossmember? :EmoteClueless:

I should of waited to by my subframe..... mine doesn't have tow hooks, no brake line brackets and now a different crossmember....... :buttkick:

Mine came yesterday and doesn't have this crossmember. It was just built a couple of weeks ago. Is it of this posting forward that they will receive the updated version.

Hey guys- sorry on the confusion. The side plates on the rails are new too, and designed for the new style crossmember. The new crossmember will not retro fit to the old style rail mounts. This announcement is for a new design part that will be integrated on the chassis and subframes going forward. As with anything in this industry we're all constantly evolving and change opens new doors.

The previous trans mounts work fine for most applications. We're mostly looking to the future (for example we're working on LT1/4 and 8 speed auto mounts) and wanted to redesign what we already had to work with just about anything.

If you have the previous style you should be good to go. If for some reason you have an engine/trans combo that won't work with a previous design, please let our tech guys know.
