Weld Rt-S S71 69 Mini tub???
 

So I believe I have set my mind to the Weld RT-S S71 in 18x8.5 and 18x11.5.

Now, I have basically a blank slate and want to make these fit right. I have never ordered custom wheels before and I want to make sure I get the BS right. I will be mini tubing my car but will likely run the stock sub frame up front.

Anybody know where I should start with this being such a common setup and if I'm clear for a 5" BS up front and a 5.5" or 6" BS I'm out back? Again, looking at the 18x8.5 and 18x11.5.

IMO, it's best to measure it yourself. Any reputable wheel vendors should be able to guide you through on how to get the measurements. Every car is different.

If I were you, I'd get the mini tubs in first, then rear suspension/rearend/brakes. That way you can get accurate measurements for the backspacing.

Are you keeping the stock rear, or going with a new one? If you're keeping the stock one Weld may not make the wheels with the correct BS.

I think you are going to need roughly 7.5" to 8" of backspacing.

You can call Weld directly, but if I'm not mistaken they are spec rims. Meaning there are no custom backspacing....what you see listed on their site, Jegs, Summit Racing, etc is it. The nice thing about using your stock rear end is you can use the rims you have until you get everything sorted out.

I've found that there are many backspacimg options! Very excited!

Think I can get a 18x10 in the rear with a rolled gender lip! True-turn and a 18x9.5 up front...possibilities.....
