Carpet for 1st Gen Camaro with raised tunnel?
 

Hey, I'm pretty new on here and this is my first post so I'll apologize if this has been covered in length elsewhere but I'm wanting to see pics or hear what others have done in the way of carpet once they've raised their trans tunnel to clear a T56. My project is a 68 Camaro with full DSE suspension, subframe connectors, mini tubs, etc. I've blended in a Bowler trans tunnel patch
(raised 1 3/8" in the back and 2 5/8 in the front) and covered the entire interior with Dynamat Extreme then 1/4" thick Dynaliner. Thanks for the input

What Center Console are you planning on running? I have a huge transmission tunnel pulled from a 5th gen, I have bought the 1st gen 2-piece cut pile from trim parts and cut the front piece down the middle. I'm using a 5th gen console to hide the cut.

Here's some poor pictures but the color was wrong so I'm reordering it in a one-piece, and you can ask them to leave it oversized.

This is the only option I found without going custom made $$

I'm not currently planning on having a center console. I like the clean look of a nice shift boot/retaining ring. I'll check out the carpet you referenced, though. Thanks for the input!

Our upholstery guys (SEANAE interiors) made us custom carpeting and it did not cost that much.
They used a carpet material that is laminated. That is to say.., the top surface carpet had zero backing, and the carpet backing is flexible.
They cut and fitted the backing, then spray glued the top on using a short cut pile.
Result is ZERO seams anywhere, and it looks fantastic.
And yes, we have an oversize tunnel, subframe connectors, and other protruding shapes.
See, SEANAE specializes in airplane and boat interiors which, apparently, replacement carpeting is not that available.
So, that may be an option for YOU.
What is the down side?
You have to vacuum this carpet once it's installed to get rid of the loose threads.
Also, we are located in central Missouri.., and so is SEANAE.
