It's worth the $500 all day long if everything works . I think it cost $1300 to $1800.

Yeah if it's working that's decent, my guess is it can't be more then 2-3 yrs old .nice machine for around the garage

Wayne --- The beauty of this machine is that it can MIG ----- AND ----- TIG.... Once you learn to TIG you'll never MIG anything. Once you TIG - MIG is like stick welding. LOL

Expect to spend another $500 on all the "stuff" you'll need just to get to basic MIG status. You'll need pressure gauges - MIG gun - Ground... Bottle of gas - a Cart (or better yet - use the new tool to build or modify a cart).

What you also might be missing -- Spindle adaptors for various diameter wires... Common are .035 / .030 / .025 -- while they can't be very expensive - you'll need them for various jobs.

The MIG gun from Lincoln --- is $310 by itself (list price)

In other words ---- you're not going to buy this for $500 --- you're going to be in it a grand..... A Multi-purpose machine - for a grand -- not a bad purchase.... and you can have one machine that can do MIG/STICK/TIG..... just don't expect all that for $500 - but you can add capability as you learn or want to!

Great post.

Overall, a good price for the unit if it all works. Not TOO complicated to work on but you should be in good shape.

Well Well Well......

Be careful about that Welder. Looks to be a scam, unless you are trying to purchase that in Houston, Tx.

I have been tinkering with getting back into welding again. I started browsing craigslist to look around and found the following add:

Same photo and all. :popcorn2:
