"Perennial Falcon" carbon fiber 1961 Falcon

I've been working on a Falcon for a few months now. Don't have a whole lot of details to share yet. It is being constructed of mostly composites and powered by some form of Ford powerplant.

Thanks man! featherweight is the name of the game. After auto-crossing a Galaxie for the last 3 years it will be a nice change of pace. The body will be entirely composite. Drive line is yet to be determined but it will be Ford powered.

I love the fact that you've been autocrossing the galaxie, so now I'm excited to see what you can do with something that's not the size of the titanic, lol. The carbon fenders look bad-ass! Glad you're staying ford in a ford as well!

The Galaxie is entertaining even when it isn't fast. I jokingly call our local CAM-T class the full size sedan class. There is a 4 door Impala, A Delta 88 and my Galaxie regularly attending.

I'm pretty happy with how the fenders came out. Took allot longer than I had hoped but I learned allot.

Love the carbon work. Wish this was a 62 or 63 so I could get a set of fenders. Are you going to flare this? I am getting ready to cut my fenders out. The narrowness of the falcon, while great for slaloms, will limit the ultimate performance. After 5 seasons of running my car I finally feel like can out drive it so it will be going under the knife for 4-5” flares and more power.

Hi Craig, I have been reading your build thread, Nice work!
It was a tough choice 60-61 vs 62-63. There are a few people building composite parts for 62-63 already so I went with 60-61.
These fenders are a "stock" set with the built in air dam. I also built molds that do not include the air dam. For this car I expect to move the wheel opening upwards 1-2 inches and possibly add a slight flare. As you said narrow is good for slaloms and the car will primarily be used for autocross.
