Help reinstalling the center shaft on a 12 bolt

I am in the middle of a rear disc upgrade on my 72 Camaro and I tried to to put the center shaft back in and it looks like the spider gear shifted or something else is blocking it. I tried to move it but no luck. Thoughts? Thanks.
