O-Ring vs. Inverted flare on power steering box

I just ordered a borgeson box that takes o-ring style fittings but also comes with the adapters for inverted flare. I already have hoses with 6AN so I am asking which would be the preferred way to go, o-ring or inverted flare? My gut tells me inverted but thought I'd ask the pros

I've used both without issue, but I'd think the o-ring style is probably better as that's what the OEM's moved to. I'd guess the adapters are supplied for those with the older vehicles that use an inverted flare, so the box can be bolted on without having to make new lines.

Thanks Jody!
