2nd Gen/502RJ install pics

Well, The engine is in place, and the intake is mounted. I had to take out 7/8 inch for the manifold to clear the steel cowl hood. Once the intake was welded up I had it powder coated silver. I still have to wire it up, install fans, and bolt up the battery. I'm hoping to start it up in a week or so. Here are some pics...

Where are you going to route the air intake? I want to make a 'cold-air' intake for mine someday, do you know where to get the material to make the tubing and connectors? |

I was looking at it tonight and thing I may cut an opening in the forward area (battery "floor") of the fender well for intake, but actually mounting an air filter box on the inside. I'd appreciate any suggestions, though. Where did you mount the cold air temp sensor? No, I don't have a good contact for the intake plumbing...you? How's your Camaro running? Put many miles on it? Tom, The intake piece came from Jegs...here the PN:
467-410036 Cast 90-degree Intake Elbow I'm also thinking of getting another one for the other end, and just running a tube between the two. It would be an easy way to get the job done and would be very functional, though It would be great to go a little more custom. Does anyone have a good link for intake tubing? |
