Next build thoughts / opinions

So with the completion of my 69 Camaro ( all the good stuff no expense spared, DSE,Forgeline,Recaro,etc....)I'm trying to decide on my next build. I have a super clean 72 Camaro that I was going to do but have now decided against it as I feel it would be too close to the 69.
So this leads me to where I'm at today. While I've always been a Chevy guy I've located a very clean 71 Barracuda convertible. Something keeps me coming back to this build. What ever I decide to do will be a very respectable cruiser that can hold its own and meant to drive anywhere. Problem I see is that there doesn't seem to be the same support structure you find with the Chevy stuff.
So any thoughts or experiences are appreciated.

I guess it depends on just how difficult you want the build to be. Do you want "bolt on" parts with only minor fabrication? Fancy suspension far different that what the factory design was? What about the engine? Custom built or crate? As you've already noticed, there's not a lot of support for the Mopars in certain areas.

I would let the difficulty level of achieving the goal for your next car be the deciding factor on whether you build this car.

Personally, I don't have the means to build a mopar or any "it" car so I've been looking after "less desirable" cars. Plus, it's something different. Maybe you could build one of those cars up? Many of them share suspension components from their more desirable relatives. Examples would be rubber bumper C3 Corvettes, 73/74 Chevelles, mid to late 2nd gen Fbodies, 80's Gbodies, Fox body Mustangs, and even trucks.

Good luck whatever you do and keep us posted on the build.

I always wanted to do a s10 blazer, use astro van awd transfer case , ls ... maybe a turbo . Sorta like a gmc typhoon but ls powered and a Chevy

nearly everything is out there for "E" bodies, you just don't have 100 people selling the same stuff. What engine was originally in it? You may not want to cut it up...

So about that 72? For sale?

PS find an AMX.. that be really cool

you put it on a roadster shop fast track chassis, and most everything else is just like building a camaro. except the 50% premium on parts for being e body mopar

Do a 'cuda build hands down. After my 69 Firebird, if I do another one, it will be a 'cuda. I wouldn't do a convertible tho, just my personal taste to reduce flex.

I'm also not a Ford guy but a 65 Fastback or a 69/70 Mustang would be sweet too.

I looked at a very clean 65 mustang also, but it's kind of small and I was looking at something a little larger. Is putting an LS in a ford really that bad?
