67 Camaro "Nutkse"

Long time member. Somehow I never got around to posting about my ride. Bought her from a member back in 2017. Super well built car that has only required minor maintenance over the last six years. Of course you can't leave anything alone so I updated a few things to my liking. I have owned a few Camaros but this was the first one that was a full protour build. Night and day driving difference with all of the modern parts. So much that I ripped apart my 68 Camaro to modernize it. More on that one one day...
Drivetrain: LS2/T56 Wayne Due subframe with C5 components Ridetech 4 link Rushforth Super Spokes. 18" up front with 275's, and 19" out back with 325's. Jason Rushforth nailed it with the wheel combo. Stainless headers and 3-inch stainless exhaust. Ricks Tank Interior: Sparco front seats (best seats I have ever had in a Camaro) Stock narrowed rear seat Vintage AC Racepak Dash (eh, should have gone with the Dakota Digital dash) 5" Apple Carplay LCD which is great for long rides. Tilt column with a Sparco wheel. So much better than the stock bus-size steering wheel. Misc: Ford mineral gray metallic with black stripes. Retro Elec RS setup. American Autowire harness. DSE wiper setup. Optima battery. Lotta smiles and happy miles... That's me in the green shirt with my buddy. Since I bought it I have wanted to add my Procharger D1SC (out of my 68) but the car drives so good I am afraid to change anything. If I get the nerve up this winter I will start that project now that the 68 is back on the road. Planning to go with a Holley Intake, Tick performance heat exchanger (no room for an intercooler with the Wayne Due frame and RS doors), Procharger serp setup. Hopefully, the internals and drivetrain can handle the update. |
Great car!

Thanks Jody.

Yeah the D1SC is just sitting on the shelf. I really need to get the nerve up and install it. A bit afraid I'll get stuck on an install issue and the car will sit forever. Current plan is the following as long as I can get the funds together (and nerve). Send blower to Procharger to be reclocked Use the Procharger Accessory Drive kit. Need to see if I need the low or high mount kit. Use the Ticks performance intercooler and a C&R heat exchanger. With the Wayne due frame and RS headlights I have no space for an intercooler and piping. Holley mid rise intake. What regulator and pump to run, Current setup is a 340 walbro and corvette regulator. Will speak with Carl on the best setup with my Ricks tank and 6an line. Decide on which heat exchanger pump to run, injector size, balancer, power steering reservoir, how todo the intake piping. Going to talk to the guys at Tune time performance once I'm ready to pull the trigger. |

I tune a LOT of PC cars, from daily drivers to track toys. They just drive great and are so predictable. |
