68 Charger Art Morrison Chassis
I have an Art Morrison chassis and was wondering approximately how many hours the custom floor would take to install on a 68 Charger. Yes I know each car will have there own issues/problems. The car is a clean car. I have owned the car for 5 years. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks

68 is a great looking car, so congrats on that. No idea what amount of mods are necessary with that car. Did Morrison have an estimate of the time required to install their chassis? The one below is my favorite from the local shows here.

Haven’t reached out to Morrison yet. Figured I would try here first.

Yeah, looks like you'd need a complete floor, tubs, tunnel built for that frame. I would think Morrison has done them to develop the frame, as well as RS and could give you an idea of the hours required. Schwartz has one that's almost a bolt in, but since you have the chassis already... Any good chassis shop should be able to handle the job, but their hourly rates change wildly depending on area of the country. |
I reached out to Art Morrison and they couldn’t give me an answer. I understand there are lots of variables that will go into this.

Depends if you measure in shop hours or “buddy with a welder and beer” hours

I wish I had a buddy that could do this. Beers are cheap!!!!

Installing a custom floor on a ’68 Charger with an Art Morrison chassis is like asking, “How long does it take to thread a needle while riding a bull?” Depends on the bull. And the needle. But seriously—plan for more time than you think and then double it
