She's alive!! big day today
Sort of a milestone.. first firing of the engine in the car.
The switch was flipped and Penny came to life. We only ran her for 30 seconds or so just to make sure all was good but everything seemed fine. We have a bad fitting on the low pressure side of the rack so I need to replace that, everything else sounded and looked good. Wiring into the racepanel wasn't as tough as I thought it would be. I don't have a key, just a bank of switched for the fuel pump, water pump, lights, power and start. She is now back at Best of Show in San Marcos for the sheetmetal re-install and minor tweaks. Shouldn't be long now. Here she is ready to leave the shop: http://www.lifeinwidescreen.com/siihp/done.jpg Here's a cool shot. Notice how low and close to the firewall the LS2 sits. Also notice how the headers tuck up. They barely hang below the frame. http://www.lifeinwidescreen.com/siihp/low.jpg I have a 30 second vid but I need to host it somewhere.. |
Sweetness! That's a bad ass car.

You're missing a lugnut on the front wheel and based on tire tread direction or better yet the "rotation" arrow on the sidewall the front wheels are on the wrong sides too. What kind of a show are you running down there?!? :P
Looks good! |
