Project "Cool Ranch"
5 Attachment(s)
Hello,
My name is Steve and I’ve been lurking about here on the board for almost two years and I wanted to introduce a new project that my brother Chris and I are starting. Not sure if it classifies completely as “g-machine” material but we think it should be a cool, custom, family cruiser ! He picked up this 1954 Ford 2-door Ranch Wagon on eBay from Colorado a few months back. We worked with a designer here in Canada, Andrew Kerr, (www.kerrst.com) who took a lot of our going-in ideas and incorporated them in the rendering below. We are bantering a few color schemes around but this one keeps jumping to the front. Andrew was fabulous to work with and did an amazing job! I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to have a rendering done of their vehicle. Planned modifications / approach: Chassis - 1993 Ford Crown Victoria chassis, utilizing 4.6 Modular motor (may move up to 5.4), 4-spd AOD transmission, four wheel disc with ABS, air ride suspension, 20x10 / 18x7 Mustang Bullit style wheels, Body modifications - fully shaved body, bumper bolts, door handles, etc., one-piece door and side glass, headlamps with integrated signal lights, driving lamps to replace current signal lights in grill, custom LED rear tail lamps. Interior plans - complete 1996 Mustang dash, console, bucket seats, air conditioning system, with leather and suede combination throughout. Enjoy! Let us know what you guys think! |
Very cool... looks amazingly solid too!

Yes, for a 52 year old vehicle, it's surprisingly not bad. :)
There are some bad spots in the lower rear quarters, but there are patch panels available to repair the damage. The front floors are a bit ripe as well, but will be grafting in the complete cowl from the late model Mustang and replacing floors to get the body down over the chassis anyway. |
That's going to be a damn cool ride.
