Good Gap?? Grills back on.
2 Attachment(s)
I had my grill painted, and just got it back in tonight. I just want to see if you think its got a nice gap on the sides. It was good before, but I think because it was all silver against the red car, it was hard to notice either way. Now since its red on red you notice the panel gap...does it look alright!
Also...when putting on the front spoiler...are there supposed to be holes already in the valance for the outter edge of the spoiler. I got it bolted below the liscence plate...but nothing on the outside. Please just go to my website to check out all the pics. (sorry bout lighting...got late in the garage...I will take it out tomorrow into the light.) http://community.webshots.com/user/vantageam Thanks Tim |
It looks okay to me. I think the only way it could be tighter would have been to do some filler work on the car and repaint both the fenders and grill to pull it off. I have seen some that really fit bad over the years and you don't really notice it unless you are looking for it anyway. Yours looks nice and even and balanced right right to left.
Is it an OEM or a/m part? |
Looks fine to me Tim. My grill fits the exact same way and after messing with mine for about 2 hrs, I settled on thats how its going to be until my car goes to the paint booth.
Since it is painted red now, it should blend in with your fenders. BTW...did you get your tach problem fixed? |
Thanks guys
Jay, Nothing on the tach yet. I dont know what it is, its definatly new and a working tach. The lights that surround the gauges dont come on either which makes me think they are connected. Just havnt had a chance to really get a close look under the dash. But I did try to wires to the coil and the back of the tach itself. Thanks Tim |
Tim,
It sounds like a ground issue. The tach worked before and now it doesnt. The other gauges work, but the lights on the these gauges do not. Is this correct? Find your ground wire that goes to the tach. I would bet it ties in with your gauge lights also, hence the lights aren't working. Make sure none of your fuses are blown. Let us know what you find. |
