Dakota Digital?

Hi everyone,

I'm about to tear apart the interior of a 'Cuda, and I'd like to install a whole bunch of cool gauges. Has anyone ever used Dakota Digital gauges? I looked at their catalog online (http://www.dakotadigital.com/), and the stuff looks pretty good and isn't ridiculously expensive.

My concerns lie mostly in the gauge accuracy/quality. My buddy bought some crappy digital gauges a while back (not Dakota, I think it was Cyberdine or something), and they were so unrealiable and inaccurate that they were basically a joke. He ended up taking them all out and installing Autometers. He's been very happy with them, and they look great (he's using the C2 series).

Anyways, if you have any advice/concerns for digital gauges, I'd greatly appreciate it. I'm leaning towards just doing a whole bunch of Autometers at this point, since they're a known commodity.

Thanks,
Vic.

If you want the ultimate digital guage setup you should get a race pack digital setup. http://www.racepak.com/ProdFrame.html
Dakota digital is probrobly the best out there for stand alone digital guages, but I personally like Autometer's better. Dakota Digital is way better than Cyberdyne.

You might want to check out Nordskog too. They have been doing gauges for the boating industry for years and have now gotten in to cars. I checked them out at the PRI show for a buddy with a 96 Impala SS and they make quality stuff.

Dakota digital is a very nice guage.the only drawback to them is the fuel guage it reads in percentages. witch I think is unusual. all the other guages read normal psi. volts and so on.full 100% 1/2 50% .
