center dash panel

We are trying to get some ideas for a custom center dash panel. We built one, and it came out real nice.....lol...but when we went to fit it, the gauges ended up pointing too far down, due to the angle of the dash....otherwise it looked good....

We used some 2'' couplings angled them towards the driver, but forgot to compensate for the downward angle of the dash...lol

Anyway back to the drawing board...just thought we could get some ideas from you......

We dont want the bezels on the outside of the panel...and we dont want to use Covan's panel. :_paranoid

What car is this for? Have any pics of what you built so far?

Sorry about that....it is a 67 Camaro....and we could post some pictures next week when school is in.

If we dont get some ideas, we try to make a mold to create a fiberglass panel with the hole in...or just smoothed.....

Does fiberglass stick to clay or ceramic...? lol

Thanks for the interest Anthony.

Derek, there is nothing wrong with Covans panel, matter of fact we were going to use it.

But what we didnt care for is how the gauges stick of the panel, we wanted the recessed look, like the stock drivers side gauge bezel......plus many people have and are using their (Covans) panel....and we wanted to put a little diferent touch in the car......if thats even possiable anymore...lol
