05/06 GTO All weather friendly?
Need your advice...
I currently have an 05 Magnum R/T for my daily driver and was considering a new C6 Corvette for my upcoming 40th but I just can't see having two toys in the garage and the need to purchase another vehicle for a daily driver. My Magnum has EPS traction control and I can navigate the 4 seasons, ice/snow just fine with it... I grew up in NW Ohio. How good or bad would an 05/06 GTO be in the winter months for a true daily driver? Let me know your thoughts please... V/R, Ty |
There is a girl up here in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area who has driven her 6 liter GTO (I think it is an 05) for the last 2 winters. Granted, the winters here have been quite mild but none the less, she drives it year round. Oh, btw....She also sprays it with a 150 shot and runs high 11 second 1/4s with it. :D

Only downsides to a GTO are:
1. Tiny trunk 2. PITA to get in the backseat due to slow electric seats Other than those I know quite a few people the use them as daily drivers, even in snow. |

Hello,
A good friend of mine has a 05 GTO and drives it year round. He has two sets of Rims/tires that he swaps and there have been only a couple of days where he has had problems. I also Drive a 2001 BMW M5 and do the same. If you have any questions on tires or anything let me know. Later, cp72ss |
I cant see why you couldn't just slap a good set of tires on there and be just fine.

Blizzacks
Maybe blizzacks on the stock rims for winter and some aftermarket rims/tires for summer fun?
Keep the comments coming... I'm seriously considering this... V/R, Ty |
