I am looking at buying a 1965 Skylark 2dr sedan, just a V-8 4 barrel with a column shifted powerglide and bucket seats. It has 90% of its original paint and is in very presentable condition with only 47,000 documented original miles. Interior, inside trunk, and under hood all look very good.

It takes $13,000 to buy it. Not as popular as a Malibu, but not as expensive either. What do you guys think?

well after cruising with Jeff (61 Bubbletop) at Woodward and seeing the huge response to his car, I really appreciate the not-so-mainstream stuff.

Abso-freakin-lutely! Those cars are gorgeous and all the g-machine goodies from the 'bu work with it! Good luck!

I'm with Jody on this one. It's great to see something non-mainstream.

Camaro, Miata...Skylark. Sounds like a nice, well rounded collection. You've got your streetfighter Camaro that is part hot rod, part race car; a spec Miata for racing; and now a comfy cruiser with room for family and friends.

I had a 64 Cutlass and a 68 Cutlass Vert, I still kick myself for getting rid of both, get it!

Thanks for the input guys, does the price seem ok? I hate buying things and then being $5000 upside down in them. It is one of the best survivors I have seen.

My buddy has a '65 Skylark (i think it's a 65). We shot if for the December PHR. I think it's a great body style and you get the benefit of something different even though there's many parts that will fit it. I say go for it.
