ZO6 vs WILWOOD 6 PISTONS
Hey all,
Just a quick question, i have a set of 6piston wilwoods and im now looking for a set of calipers that will look a bit bigger behind the wheel as ive just gone from 17's to 19's and the wilwood look a bit on the small side. does any one have a set of the pbr zo6 6's they could measure the overall length or if anyone is fortunate enough to have a set of both kicking around a comparison side by side photo would be tops Looking at them both in seperate photos the wilwoods look heaps smaller but its hard to tell untill there side by side Any Help with this would be great Cheers sean |

Most Wilwood 6pst. calipers are 9.44" long. The only ones as large as the 6pst. PBRs are the giant TC6R calipers they sell for SUV applications. I don`t have an exact measurment for them but Baer 6R calipers are also much larger than the typical Wilwoods (possibly than the PBRs too) and fill out a 19" wheel nicely on 14" rotors. Mark SC&C

for a street application i would stay away from willwood, the pistons dont have any dustboots and i find atleast the dynalite II s very soft, they feel alittle mushy compared to bmw calipers that actually fit the same mounting holes (which is why i came up with trying them in the first place)
i would stick to a C5 caliper .. or Z06 for added bling and wow... but they arent cheap in pads! |
