Truck Question - production #'s
 

I know this isn't exactly the right board to ask this question, but I'm hoping one of you is either a closet truck enthusiast (;) )or might know someone who is who might be able to help me.

Does anyone know where I can find out the production numbers for 1973 to 1982 Chevrolet Pickup trucks with Dual fuel tanks or the percentages of overall production of trucks with Dual tanks.

(I've checked w/ SEMA with no luck)

Theresa, you should call GM and ask for someone in the recall department as their was a massive recall on the trucks with dual tanks after the staged 20/20 segment. That should get you in the ballpark.

It sez "Of the 8 million trucks built between 73 and 1987 with this option, approximately 4.7 million were still on the road as of 1993. If you figure losing between 6-8% per year for what ever reason and you'd get close. Of course, these trucks are getting "Hot" again and folks are buying and restoring them.

i have a 83 chevy 1ton its got double tanks that body style was ran from 73 to 87 in the 1/2 and 3/4 tons the 1ton was made up to 1990 or 91 if i remember right
