Not a Camaro But...............

Hey guys.
I have been enjoying this site for a while now and thought I would put my project up(hope I do this right); don't know if it is right for this site but hey old trucks need love toohttps://lateral-g.net/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif
. I bought this blazer back in '89 and have been dragging around with me mid completion ever since. It started out as a pro-street build but never got time to finish it (thank goodness) and am now changing direction. Here are the details................
Front
Mustang II r&p, 2" dropped spindles, Tubular upper and lowers, custom built X member and mounts, 2600# bags, Nascar style tubular sway bar, 11"discs/metric calipers (for now), 18X8 Intro Pentia/KWD2 245-45
Rear
4 link, 2600# bags, Nascar style tubular sway bar, tube frame from 4 link mounts back, 10 bolt posi w/ factory 11" discs from '81 Firebird, 20X10 Intro Pentia/KWD2 295-45
Engine
Old school 383, roller cam, dart heads & intake, Holley carb, etc. TH350. May look to LS motor/OD tranny later, but I have this motor now and old habits die hardhttps://lateral-g.net/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif
!
Other
Fabricated sheet metal dash and cosole, leather seats etc, leaving the body mainly stock except filled markers & emblems. Still waffling on the door handles and a few other decisions body wise. Who knows on the color(s).

I have been holding off on this thing until I could devote my full attetntion to it and I am finally there! Most of the stuff on the list is already there, just needs to be moved around and cleaned up. The air bags will be new. I will have chassis pics after I get everything cleaned up (kinda crappy looking right now). I ordered my wheels and am just waiting for them to get here. Once I have them to mock up I will move all of the suspension mounts to get them right. While I am waiting I have been getting the body mounts replaced and body seams lined up (these old trucks weren't exactly built with tight tolerances!)

Anyhow, I really enjoy this site, it is hard to find a collection of quality cars built by good fabricators with great posts to read and very little BS and junk.

Hopefully the pro street nostalgia thing will kick in in a few years and I will get to unload my M/T's and 15X14 vette

By the way, what is the general opinion on air bags? I have very little experience with them but everything I read is positive with respect to ride quality and handling.

Cool project. There's no doubt that the g-Machine trucks are gaining momentum. Glad to have you on board and sharing with us.
