SRT-8 Grand Cherokee?

Holy nearly crapped my pants Batman!!

I rode in an SRT-8 Grand Cherokee and let me tell you this thing is a beast!!

415 horsepower, all wheel drive with an interior that reminded me of a Corvette, awesome Stereo, gauges, wicked factory wheels, sits low, Zero to 60 in less than 5 seconds, 0-100-0 in less than 19 seconds and sounds wicked.

I drove a friends Cayenne and I tell you, I liked the SRT-8 better. Of course, Me and Porsche are like Caviar and Crunchy Peanut Butter, some things just don't go together, LOL.

Anybody here seen or driven one?

see it here:

I have driven one and came away with pretty much the same conclusions. It is a fracking bad ride. I also liked the fact that it has four doors and can sit my family comfortably. My friends Jeep has been modded to 450rwhp so it is even better than stock.

It can only tow 3500lbs? I wonder what that's about. Looks to be an awesome Jeep for street driving. But would be worthless as a 4 wheel driver. I guess you could change the wheels to go wheeling though. I have very mixed feelings about the SRT-8 with me being a Cherokee owner. I love the fact that this thing can whip the snout out of a turbo porsche. I hate that you can't fully use it, though, as the off-road vehicle that it should be. And I don't think this was DC's intentions either, since the truck is lowered.

My friend just got one in Black, and yes it is badass. I don't even know if you can tow since the exhaust exits in the rear center where a hitch would be.

Personally I think they look killer in Silver and the price seems reasonable for what you get.

I agree with the towing issue. Its is not for towing. Remember the Syclone? It has a big orange sticker in the bed that clearly stated "not for towing and do not haul more than 250 lbs in the bed". I think the SSR trucks sez the same thing or something simular.

Its for hauling butt in(and not much more) and toting the family with you. Period. Oh and by the way, the one my buddy has is Black and it was fully wicked from the factory. I tell ya, there is nothing else to do to this thing but drive it. It is wicked sounding, big wheels and tires (PT style) lowered, sweet interior, incredible stereo, gauges...everything.

I hear that there is a programmer that will bump horses up to over 500+ just with a hand held programmer. Imagine that.

a guy at the local dodge house ordered one.. never saw it and paid the sales guy to ship it to hennessey for a twin turbo package.. must be nice to pay cash for your ride and ship it off for major upgrades before you even test drive it..

Oh, and Brembo's at all 4 corners.:D

Now go try a Trailblazer SS and report back. Seriously, I would love to have either the SRT8 Jeep or the SS, both are wicked SUVs :D . Definitely can't afford to even test drive either though :( .

I own a new Trailblazer SS and I can tell you that the Jeep is way faster. I went head to head with one and got embarrassed. :wow: However, I did pay about $10k less for mine and it is a lot of fun to drive. I really enjoy it.

IMO, the Jeep is better looking (especially in the interior) than the TB SS. The TB SS looks dated to me.
