Need some help for turbo piping...
I am looking for someone that can supply or knows how to get oval tubing that is mandrel bent. I know that Dr. Gas can do it by bending it on the edge.
http://www.drgas.com/store/product.p...9&cat=8&page=1 I am wanting the tubing to be bent on the flat side. The discharge piping to the intake manifold would come out of the TB and bend at a 90 straight down. This piping would bend at a 90 again in the opposite direction at the bottom and connect to the intercooler. Any suggestions and help is greatly appreciated. Edit/Delete Message |
The suppliers I deal with are www.boyceindustries.com, wwwburnsstainless.com, www.drgas.com, and www.spintechmufflers.com. The only one that can or will bend oval tubing the hard way is Spintech. I would like to know of other suppliers if anybody has any information.

Thanks Perry. Dr. Gas make Spintech mufflers. I haven't seen Dr. Gas make these bends.
I definitely appreciate all the info. Anyone else have suggestions? |
Yeh, I think Dr Gas is a distributor for Spintech mufflers. Spintech has a bigger selection of sizes and bends, in either stainless or mild steel, than Dr Gas does.

You may have to buy a standard circular mandrel bend of the correct height/bend radius, slit it down the middle, and butt weld in flat pieces to create the oval cross section.
I'm not aware of any suppliers that offer bent ovalized tubing in the configuration you want, but it doesn't mean they aren't out there. |
Thanks for the input guys. I'll checkout Spintech. If all else fails I could always do the splice like Blown recommended.
