Buying Brakes for 69 Camaro, have Questions...
To All:
Electronic Enhancements are continually being available for older Muscle Cars. That being said, I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on some great brakes. Should I consider buying brakes that are ABS Compatible? Right or Wrong, they should work fine with or without actually being hooked up to an ABS System, as the difference is the possibility of adding a wheel Speed Sensor. Is this correct? (13 or 14 inch Wilwood Brakes with Parking Brake, C6 Style, 6 piston front, 4 Piston Rear) ============================================== Another Question While 14 inch Brakes are impressive looking, the lightest smallest Rotors that will work safely on your car are the ones that would give your car the best performance. (Less Rotational Mass by Weight and by Diameter) Later, harder Braking into a Corner, and Earlier Faster Acceleration out of Corners. These Rotors would probably be no bigger than 13 inches. Right, Wrong or Doesn't Matter? Car Weight with Driver (and Maybe Passenger) 3800 Pounds Thanks for your thoughts and explanations. Regards, Ty O'Neal Is this getting to the point of beating a dead horse?? |
To All:
Am I over thinking this issue? (I know I have the tendency to do so occasionally in an effort to really understanding an issue) Thanks, tyoneal |
