Blasting Cabinet???
Ok guys need some HELP. I need to buy a Blasting cabinet. I have looked at a couple of different ones (TP Tools, Bad Boys Blasting Cabinets, and a couple others. What are your thoughts I would really like to get a presure cabinet but the cost is a little more than we want to spend $3000.00 is the budget, and persure's are about $5000.00 :faint: So what have any of you guys used before? I need to fit a fender or drive shaft in it.

Chris What did you use for "glass" ? How do you keep it sealed ? Any chance you can take a few more detailed pics of it ? That is what I have been looking to do, never knew anyone who made one out of wood............... |
The glass is tempered. And as far as sealing.....dont worry. You will end up with sand on the floor when you open the door anyway. But as far as details Ill have to take a couple shots for ya. The frame work is mostly 2x2 for the box and 2x4 for the pedestal. The light on top is a 3' flores. with plexi for a window.

We have a Snap-on cabinet now works ok but we need something more efficient. We has alot of blasting to do in the shop right now. As most of you guy know in restoration you try to reuse as much of the original parts possible. We bill by the hour and if it take 4 hrs to blast a control arm you sure can't charge the customer that (unless it is a control arm from a Boeing 747). So thats why I want the presure cabinet, as fast as you can move your hand thats hoe fast it removes the old crap from the part. Anyway i think we may have found a unit that will serve us well, I HOPE.
