OLC Pedal Assembly
Fed Ex arrived yesterday with the Tilton 900-Series pedal and master cylinder assembly for the OneLapCamaro project. This is a triple master cylinder set-up with rear pivoting master cylinders. Bias is externally adjustable, as is pedal ratio. We are using 13/16" bore MCs for the front and rear brakes, and a 3/4 MC for the clutch. The pedals are also movable for optimum placement. I thought I would share some pictures before we start mounting them tonight. A special thank you to Tilton for their support!

I want one. How hard is it too install all of that?

It is a really nice piece - I can not say enough about the quality and precision that Tilton has put into these.
Mounting can be a bit of a challenge - the two biggest hurdles being the steering column and adequately supporting the pedal assembly. Ididit, Inc. has built us a custom steering column that will allow us to get around the interference that a stock column would have so that hase taken care of itself. It looks like the stock pedal/column mount has to go (and it is definately going in our application) but it may be possible to integrate it into the installation. Adequate support pretty much demands a firewall bar on the roll cage - which is fine for the OLC build but may be difficult for others. It also requires more reworking of the firewall than some people may be comfortable with but the performance of the assembly more than makes up for the difficulties. I'll post some pictures as we work through the installation. |
James,
The pedals look great! Are you trying to make the 2007 onelap race? What motor package are you going to run? I like your website  David |
