Road America April 14-15
 

All midwest guys listen up! Midwest F-Body Association has their spring track rental at Road America, Elkhart Lake, WI on April 14-15. This is a great chance to run flat out on one of the country's most famous and scenic road courses.

Here I am a couple of years ago at this event.

Just a reminder if you are in the area or can get here, come on out to Road America, Elkhart Lake, WI this weekend. I will be there with my 67 for its long awaited return to the track.

Now the bad part, they are predicting snow for tomorrow. I'm hoping for good weather this weekend.

Hope the weather holds, it's been pretty crappy here the last few days and we got a couple inches over night. I'm guessing you'll be getting accumulation, too. :mad:

I plan to, but I have been told my hard drive digital camera will not work. I have a good old fashioned video tape camera I am going to use. I will need to find a way to convert it to digital.

Weather was good, 50's and mostly sunny. Camaro ran good, and handled a lot better than with the stock suspension. I love the Wegner LS2. It pulls like a freight train. Enough to walk away from Vipers, Z06s, C6s, pretty much everything. The only thing in my run group that I could not stay with was a 2300 lb., 650 HP twin turbo Noble.

My best time was 2:41 and change, which I was happy with.

Only a couple of small issues, but overall good.

Scott, if I send you the video do you want it on VHS or is Video 8 ok? I had some vibration so at times the quality is not too good.

VHS will work great, I can grab it off the tape and create *wmv files with it. :thumbsup:

Can't wait to see/hear that LS2 screaming down the straightaways.

If my speedometer is accurate, I saw 155 near the brake zone at the end of the main straight, unfortunately on the tape, 5th gear is anticlimactic. It sounds much better winding up through 3rd and 4th gears.

I will put it on VHS some time this week.
