Are there any differences between ats,s&p,autocraft etc LSx adapter plates how close firewall they locate the engine? Or are all basicly just same ?

All the ones I've seen (ATS included) use one of the 4 bolt LSx mounting holes for the bottom point of the 3 bolt old style motor mounts. This would indicate the front/back engine relationship would be the same, no? Also, ATS just mounts the old style motor mount upside down to lower the motor, and should be able to be done with any of the alternatives, from what I can see. BUT...the ATS is a really nice piece. I went real cheap and got some plain steel flame cut ones for $40 since my LSx project is just a throw together and NOT a show car.

I have seen and tried the three above mentioned plates. In my 69 Camaro LS7 swap with stock front clip we ended up using ATS poly mounts with the Hooker plates, my Hooker Super Comp headers fit perfect without issues-once we moved the mount hats forward and down. Didn't have to dimple, grind or file. It also moved the heads a more comfortable distance from the firewall. ATS and Autocraft are the same, S&P has two different plates for different postions. My advice is to be prepared to experiment.

Ls6 in 1969 Chevelle
Does anyone know of any place that makes/sells motor mount adapters to put an LS motor in a 1969 Chevelle?
