wilwood master
i was told that the wilwood master that the lines for the front brakes go to the back inlet of the master is this true and can i use the stock prop valve instead of the adjustable one from wilwood forgot to say that the prop valve is for disk/disk thanks mike

Wilwood makes a variety of different MC designs, so can't just say "Wilwood MC" in these types of discussions as this also needs to be qualified with a style type or part number. Smart of you to ask, as this obviously makes a huge difference.
The Mopar type with the plastic tank: Front port = rear brakes / Rear port = front brakes http://www.wilwood.com/Products/006-...IRMC/index.asp The new aluminum tandem design: Front port = front brakes / Rear port = rear brakes http://www.wilwood.com/Products/006-...TCMC/index.asp If you dig deep enough in the Wilwood tech links above, you will see this info listed. :lateral: |
thanks paul i have the new tandam MC what about the prop valve can i use the one that looks like stock its for disc brakes im for more of a stock look and my brakes 4 piston wilwood thanks mike

If the prop vavlve is not adjustable, you will be shooting craps. Every brake system in every car is pretty much diiferent. We actually run some brake systems without a prop valve at alland they are perfect. What you can do is use the original style under the master, and if it does not work perfect hide a Wilwood adjustable near the rear

I see no good reason NOT to use an adj prop valve. The chances of lucking into having the right setting in an aftermarket setup are pretty slim.
To answer your question, yes, you could physically use a stock prop valve, but it most likely wouldn't be set right. |
