Holley Carb Power Valve ?
 

Do any of you drag racers know if running power valves help you or hurt you?

Running one is in favor of not fouling the plugs during an idle state. Then again, how much time do you spend at idle when drag racing ?? Start up and the short time getting to the box ??

But since you are only looking at running 4-6 jet sizes fatter when not using a PV... it really isnt too much of a worry. 4-6 jet sizes isnt going to necessarily foul plugs... in fact it will barely just show up on the plugs from the slight enrichment.

I've heard of guys using the pv in the primaries then blocking the off in the secondaries and jetting the secondaries up about 6 sizes... I even did it on the last motor I had. Worked well...
