I removed the quater panel installed the outerwheel house then i joggled the edge of the qtr with a pneumatic tool and i fully welded it on, there is probably a few ways this can be done but i bought the tool so i thought i should use it, any way here are some pics......

be careful here so you dont go through both panels,i used a cut off wheel to remove the metal in the rain gutter area

becareful in this area too i cut it and left a ridge and ground it down to the bottom metal

way to go. half the battle is attitude and it sounds like your tude is pretty positive. test fit your doors a million times before you start any welding

You know every now and then you need a little motivation through the building process hence you start up a web page to check out other builds, or you add some shiny stuff here is a pic of some shiny stuff.

i really like the black/orange with silver stripe.... or atleast orange with black "hemi" quarter panel... and i wanted to add a word of encuragement... it looks like a god job you are doing, i did the same on my 56 mustang and it was a biatch of a job.. with more measuring and cleaning than cutting and welding...
