For me, it speaks volumes about person, when that person is referred to as a best friend and mentor by his son.

Very sorry to hear of your loss.

Our prayers are with you, He must have left quite a legacy. Journal all those experiences you had with him so you can pass them down when your son is older.-Chris

Hey Steve,

Sorry for your loss. Sounds like you had a good relationship and
your going to miss him. I loss my younger brother almost a year ago and
life changes when someone close to you passes away. Just remember all
the good times you had to share and enjoy your life, make every minute count.

Steve, I'm very sorry to hear of your loss. However, it's good to hear that you not only had a great relationship with him, but that you realized it while it was happening. When a father and son can be best friends it's VERY special!!

My dad has had heart disease since he was 37, he's now 62 and I thank God everyday that he still allows my dad to be with us. I understand how you feel about your dad seeing your son born as I have the same story...my son was born two years ago and it meant alot to me that my dad was able to see him. We even all share the same middle name.

Our prayers are with you and your family! Email me if you need to talk.

today was a terrible day....my dad was buried this afternoon surrounded by tons of family and friends just the way he would have wanted it.I miss him like crazy and never thought I would lose him at such a young age (64).I just have to be strong for my mom right now and get us through this tuff time.I cant begin to thank everyone for the kind words it has really helped me deal with this.Thank you for giving me an outlet to get this off my chest. Dad may you rest in peace.
