Need some opinions fella's

OK, i really want to get a new dash cluster for my camaro.

But here's where i run into problems.

I really like the Covan setup, but they have 2 options. They have the center cluster, and the instrument panel assemblies. Do i opt for the big column cluster or do i place in 2 of the big Autometer gauges in the factor slots and go with the center 4 hole cluster. Keep in mind i do have a stereo that i was to keep in the car! :)

Max,
I have a homegrown setup similar to your 2nd option (5" speedo/tach in column and 2-5/8 in center). Visibility is good. But I have eliminated HVAC controls and moved my stereo to the back of my shifter. Obviously I put data above creature comforts.

thats a nice setup, but if i go with the column cluster, i can have my stereo and still have all my gauges

I think I'd opt for the column cluster, as all of your guages would be in the same line of site.

I like Steve's set up.The Convan setup is a good idea but everytime I see a covan the fit and finish disapoints me.

I have seen the Covan cluster with all the guages above column. I originally liked the idea, but after seeing it, the guages were too small, clustered together, and not in good sights. Maybe I am just getting old and have a hard time seeing anymore.
I am going to put the two big ones in the stock location and fab up a center section, posible extending down to center console, to house guages, stereo, and heater control. Just my two cents.

See below, better info.

I stand corrected. the three guage set up is a factory set up for a 67. The 68 console (like the 69 ) is a good bet. The pod that has the 4 gauges are aimed toward the driver, and you can buy it with or with out gauges and harness. Next to Kyle doing something custom for you, that seems to be your best bet. By theway, its on page 110 of Ricks catalog. I think his site has a PDF catalog with same numbers.
