Full Size Pro-touring treatment!
 

Well after looking at Rupps "steal" on the Fairlane I had to go out looking for a "dare to be different" car (damn you Steve!) lol. It's a 70 Catalina that will receive a few tasteful mods here and there that will make it a great driver with some ummph! It has a rebuilt 400 in it already with about 15K miles factory A/C car and disc brakes, I will be adding pw and buckets, and also a tilt column and rear disc brakes to make it a little more stoppable in the LA traffic! I got a GREAT deal on it and I mean I stole the car! Any ideas of what I should do suggestions welcomed and PS as well I am thinking an air ride suspension maybe and a 19/20" wheel combo? Here is what I am starting with:

wow-that thing is longer than last week!!! Very clean, is that the orig. paint? definetly bag it- lay it out on 19/20 should look sweet- leave the paint:thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup: -Chris

I think you have even cooler car than Steves. The grille looks really nice! Maybe air bag suspension, big wheel and that same color!!!

Yes that is the original paint and the original vinyl top you can even see the score marks in it!

That's a cool sled. I'll be following this thread 'cause we have a big car project coming up and I'm looking for inspiration for it as well.

I dig the brown hides. Looks like a rumpus room.

Long car = Bags... (a must).
Man.. that front end is pretty fugly.... but
dare to be different ? I'd say you hit a home run !
But with the right combo of paint color, and wheel/tire combo..... you should be able to make any grandma proud !! :D
