New Engine Pics
I know its really not a PT car or a G-machine of any measure, but I thought I'd share some pics. After much thought, I decided the wifes 230 in her 4dr was tired. After-all it was a starter engine for her project. We started replacing everything on it and enough was enough. So out she came and in one day, we (yes she helped) built this 300hp 350. We (yes she helped) chose to stick with the 60's theme and dressed it up with some finned valve covers but painted it the color of the flames on the car. If all goes as planned we (yes she will help) will install the new engine and rebuilt PG this weekend. The pics were taken prior to the new oil pan and that one "bolt" being changed.

sweeet!, nice car too.

Very nice! Neat to hear that she helps out in the garage too! My wife doesn't quite "get" the car thing, but she is VERY supportive of my hobby. She likes going to show with me, and hangs out in the garage when I am working. Her ears do perk up a bit when I talk about building something cool for her though, so maybe the car disease is catching?
Anyway, looking good! I like the shaved door handles. Shiny Side Up! Bill '72 442 "Inamorata" '89 ASC/McLaren www.FQuick.com/ProTouring442 |
thanks guys...
I guess I broke her in early in the relationship.... (not to sound like an ass). She knew what i was about when she met me. Shes really into trucks. She wants me to do some sort of classic. Perhaps a 37 Ford PU or a Old Chevy C10 style. Maybe one day, but for now shes pretty happy with this "different" type of hot rod. After all she designed it, styled it and helped build it herself..... (man... I may be out of a job soon :_paranoid ) |
Well its in but will have to be put aside before being finished. The stang needs to be finished for an up coming photo shoot so all my time will be devoted to getting that car back together ASAP. But for now heres what we did:
