Yup..I'm new - 79 Camaro Project
Hello all, been here several times so I finally decided to join. Some very nice cars here, good info too. On to the car, it's a 79 Camaro, just a backyard, low-budget, father-son, ground up rebuild type thing. Anyway, here's the basic info and some pics:
Chassis: Comp. Engineering SFC's, 12 point cage, solid motor mounts Suspension: Front: SPC rod end adjustable UCAs, reworked mount position, solid bushings in lowers, QA1 bolt in adjustable coilovers Rear: Stock Car Products Truck arms, QA1 adjustable coilovers, custom fabricated panhard bar/mount Drivetrain: 11.5:1 377, Renegade CNC ported heads, solid roller, lightweight crank, Mahle pistons and h-beam rods (can't remember the brand), Fidanza aluminum flywheel and SPEC clutch, TKO600 and 9" rear with nodular case, 4.11 spool for now. Tires & Wheels: Sumitomo HTR Z's, 245/45-17 front, 275/40-17 rear, Cragar Soft 8's, 17x8 front and 17x9 rear Body: Fiberglass cowl hood, clear headlight/blinker covers, leaning toward Atomic Orange Metallic right now, but we know how that changes.. Got it on the ground this weekend, finally. Only took two years to do the front and rear suspension. Rest of the car should be relatively easy in comparison..
