67 Chevelle rear suspension question....Please help
I removed my stock rear springs to put in the new Eibach's. I ran into a little snag. the stock springs are pig tailed on both ends and the Eibach's are not, they are only pig tailed on one end. After lookin a little closer I think the larger part of the upper spring cup will hold the Eibach spring.
Has any one else had this problem. Please advise |
Yes, the larger end goes up. If you look close there is a raised section that the spring fits. It would be a good idea to run a limiter strap with those springs. I used a set made for a 4th gen Camaro.

post a picture to show the spring sitting by the cup to make sure it is OK, you dont want that popping off while driving down the road. Using the straps as a back up is a good idea. It should work but if you post a picture someone up here will be able to tell you if it looks right.

The pigtailed on one end spring is for a 65, 66 and up take pig tail at each end. Send them back and get the right stuff.

Called Eibach
They (Eibach) say these are the right ones. I'm using them. I also had some replies to post on Chevelles.net and Pro-touring.com that said they would work.
Thanks for the replies guys your input is Greatly Appreciated ! |
